Admittedly, my 13-year-old daughter was rather skeptical of having to spend 2 hours in front of the computer every Sunday for Busy Brains. With time there came some very positive remarks about her own way of reacting, and her skepticism was turned on its head. The room that is made between the teachers and participants seems fairly unique to me, and it becomes incredibly personal and meaningful. To get examples from the teacher and the peers. To get help to be able to deal with hard and unintentional situations on your own. That overexcitabilities are actually completely normal for gifted people. It makes sense!
It has given my daughter clarity and a huge confidence boost, which afterwards has carried over to her school and home life - and the tools she got, she can still return to.
Big applause to Gifted Institute and thank you to the talented teachers for their openness and engagement!
