About Us

Gifted Institute is a knowledge center specializing in gifted children, youth, and their families, as well as gifted adults. The institute is located in a countryside setting near Slagelse, Denmark. We provide testing, information, and support for those facing difficult circumstances.

Gifted Institute collaborates with several of the world's most renowned researchers in the fields of giftedness and well-being. Research work is a central part of the institute's DNA, and we always strive to be present at the cutting edge of our field. This is essential for our ongoing professional development.

Gifted Institute was founded in 2021 by Grith Tschorn and Johnnie Rasmussen, cand. psych.aut, each possessing over two decades of experience with, and comprehensive understanding of, giftedness in both practical applications and academic research. The institute has experienced rapid growth and currently consists of a substantial team of professionals with specialized knowledge in giftedness. Beyond its core staff, Gifted Institute employs gifted young individuals who instruct and support at Busy Brains and camps, external collaborators from within Denmark and abroad, as well as a multitude of dedicated volunteers. All members work in unison, driven by a common goal: to assist gifted children, adolescents, and their families in improving their quality of life and showcasing their strengths, thereby unleashing the full potential of every individual.

Gifted Institute engages with individuals, families, educational institutions, and authorities responsible for the well-being of children and adolescents. We achieve this through counseling sessions, training programs, workshops, and various resources for gifted children and young adults.

Our work is built on three pillars: The child's perspective, global connections, and continuous development.

Our vision is for all children and youth to be understood and supported based on their personal experiences and distinct challenges.

Our purpose is to enhance understanding of gifted and twice-exceptional children and youth in school, administrative, and family settings.

To this end, we strive daily and persistently to uphold our core values:

- We won't let you go
- The individual always comes first
- Together, we know the most
