Camps
Gifted Institute organizes camps throughout the year for gifted children and adolescents who are members of Gifted Children. Gifted individuals experience the world more intensely than their peers. They have different interests, worry about different things, and perceive connections others might not see. Our camps provide these young people with a safe space where they can be themselves and find a sense of community - all while engaging in exciting and enjoyable activities and being academically challenged.
Gifted Institute’s camps are available for children and adolescents aged 10 and up (typically divided into age groups of 10-12 years, 13-17 years, and 18+). The camps serve an important social purpose while also offering substantial academic content.
Some camps focus on specific themes, such as Dungeons and Dragons, board games, or holiday activities. Additionally, we host summer camps as well as teen and youth weekends throughout the year. All camps include lessons on topics relevant to the target group, such as team building, overexcitability, managing exam anxiety, philosophy and ethics, self-development, and more—with guest instructors contributing to each session.
Gifted Institute is located in Dalmose (approximately 20 km from Slagelse) on a large farm surrounded by scenic fields and a park-like garden. During the summer months, participants stay in their own tents set up under the shade of the garden’s beautiful old trees. The garden also serves as a venue for both teaching and social activities, offering a calming environment that fosters relaxation and presence. In colder months, both accommodation and lessons take place indoors.
The facilities include a large communal tent in the garden for teaching, playing games, and socializing, an indoor pool area with slush-ice machines to cool overheated minds, a pool table, and much more.
Participants come from diverse backgrounds, and should meltdowns occur during camps, the on-site adults are trained (and always ready) to engage in deep and sometimes challenging conversations with the young people.
We enjoy having your children and teens with us for these short but sweet camp experiences. We're big believers in enthusiasm and free will. We occasionally encounter children who did not wish to participate in camps themselves, and we ask you to be mindful not to send your children unless they personally desire to attend.
The young people return home from each camp with new academic knowledge and fulfilled by wonderful experiences in the fantastic setting that Gifted Institute's camps offer.

Psykologicamp

OM CAMPEN:
Hvordan påvirker det, jeg tænker og føler det jeg gør? På Gifted Institutes psykologicamp vil instituttets ledende psykolog, Johnnie Rasmussen, dykke ned i en række af de forskellige psykologiske processer og mekanismer, som vi allesammen møder hver eneste dag: I samspillet med andre mennesker, i synet på os selv og i lærings- og undervisningssituationer.
CAMPEN ER FOR DIG, SOM:
- Ønsker at lære mere om psykologiske mekanismer og processer.
- Elsker at stille spørgsmål til og/eller forstå adfærdsmønstre.
- Ønsker at kunne forstå dine egne adfærdsmønstre på en ny måde.
- Er nysgerrig på at blive klogere på nogle af de mest kendte psykologiske grundmodeller, fx. Den Kognitive Diamant.
- Gerne vil vide, hvordan høj begavelse påvirker det hele.

- Prisen er inklusiv fuld forplejning, overnatning samt masser af psykologi-aktiviteter og undervisning.
Campen undervises af Johnnie Bruus Rasmussen, som er Gifted Institutes ledende psykolog. Johnnie har mange års erfaring med højtbegavede og dobbelt-exceptionelle børn og unge gennem Gifted Institute, og hans rygsæk er tætpakket med erfaringer, input og gode idéer, som vil gøre de unge mennesker på hverdagens psykologiske mekanismer i teori og praksis.
Rumfarts-camp

OM CAMPEN:
Rumfartens genfødsel
Et spændende kursus i rumfartens historie, nutid og fremtid – fra de første visionære idéer hos Tsiolkovskij, over Von Brauns raketter, til Elon Musk og nutidens private rumkapløb.
Gennem foredrag, diskussion og hands-on eksperimenter og fysik lærer deltagerne både om de store milepæle og de grundlæggende principper, der gør rumrejser mulige.

- Rumfartscampen er forbeholdt højtbegavede børn, som er medlem af Gifted Children eller testet i instituttet
- Målgruppe: Højtbegavede børn unge fra 13 år/ 6. klasse og op

- Pris: 1250 kr.
- Prisen er inklusiv fuld forplejning, overnatning samt masser af rum-aktiviteter og undervisning.
Rumfarts-campen undervises af Mads Stefatt, som blandt andet har været medlem af Copenhagen Suborbitals siden 2011 og er ansvarlig for udviklingen af faldskærmssystemet til den bemandede rumkapsel og astronautkandidat.
