GIFTED INSTITUTE GIFTEDNESS CONFERENCE 2026
GIFTEDNESS CONFERENCE 2026
Update your knowledge, expand your didactic toolbox and get new inspiration for creating pedagogical frameworks that can accommodate, embrace and support the development of gifted students!
As of 2025, teachers in Danish public schools are required to screen for giftedness in potentially-gifted first-grade students. However, without sufficient knowledge, didactic tools and affordable continuing education for practitioners and educators, thousands of children (estimated at 14,000 students) are still at risk of being overlooked or misinterpreted.
This conference will consist of theoretical presentations, new approaches from Danish and international experts, as well as practical and concrete perspectives and ideas from teachers, school leaders, parents and students relating to:
- Effective cooperation between school and home
- Teaching/didactic approaches to working with gifted students
- Identification of gifted students
TARGET GROUP
The conference is aimed at teachers, pedagogues, school counselors, school leaders, teacher educators, psychologists, educational consultants and others who many encounter and work with gifted children and young people as well as parents who with to learn more.
A GOOD CAUSE
All financial proceed from the conference goes to sponsoring free camp tickets for Gifted Institute's camps and free assessment for children and adults who would not otherwise have the opportunity to be tested.
"Gifted individuals feel different from everyone else because they are different.Their differences are apparent from the beginning to the end of their lives."
Dr. Linda Silverman, Gifted Development Center
