Giftedness

We have compiled a range of resources on the website, enabling you to explore the topic of giftedness in depth. We have organized the materials into three categories:

  • Texts explaining key concepts within the realm of giftedness and twice-exceptionality.
  • Articles and podcasts providing relevant information about giftedness.
  • Interviews or lectures featuring some of our collaborators, in which gifted children, youth and adults, as well as their challenges and opportunities, are discussed.

The website is continuously updated as we discover new, interesting information, and you can always stay up-to-date on news through our newsletter. If there are topics you'd like to see covered, you can write to us at [email protected]. We will then strive to find relevant materials.

Have a great time exploring this fascinating and pertinent subject.

Concepts

Within the field of research on gifted children and youth, certain concepts appear frequently. We've compiled an overview of some of the most significant concepts and provided a brief introduction to each. Gifted children are often more intense and more asynchronous in their development. Various checklists exist that describe behavioral characteristics and interests, identified through research on giftedness.

Articles and podcasts

We periodically gather some of the most relevant and interesting articles and podcasts here on the website. Some articles are behind paywalls, whereas many are freely accessible. The articles and podcasts will address topics including giftedness and twice-exceptionality, as well as subjects related to the broad spectrum of themes that can be linked to being twice-exceptional.

Interviews and lectures

Our collaborators have expertise in various fields. We maintain a continuous dialogue about their specializations and how they align with our experiences. Here, you will have the chance to become better acquainted with some of our partners and simultaneously gain insight into, and possibly recognize aspects of, life with gifted children and adolescents - or as a gifted person.
