Youths & Adults
Gifted adolescents and adults can have trouble settling down and discovering who they are because of their high intelligence. Some have trouble finding out where they fit in in the educational system or on the job market. Some feel that their relationships have become so fixed that they are teetering on the brink of depression, melancholy, and anxiety.
The preliminary tool we always use in our work with gifted adolescents and adults is an investigative conversation. Thereafter identification and uncovering strengths and weaknesses is the first step in trying to help adolescents and adults thrive in their day-to-day lives. We use different kinds of tests and questionnaires when uncovering the underlying reason for the experienced challenges.
As a supplement to the conversations, we have questionnaires and tests available. They help uncover specific strengths and weaknesses. We see questionnaires and tests as tools for discussion, rather than as tools for diagnosing. We also use them as a way to broaden our understanding of how the challenges present themselves in their everyday lives, and in trying to learn how to minimize those challenges.
Gifted Institute is in close collaboration with other experts, both locally and internationally. Our collaborators are all specialists in giftedness and also possess highly qualified knowledge in areas where we might be lacking in expertise ourselves. These professional collaborations make sure that Gifted Institute can offer a complete solution that can accommodate all the needs that might arise during an individual’s time at Gifted Institute.
To be able to offer the most qualified help to those who come to us, we are affiliated with different professionals, who are all specialists in their own subjects. Thus, we can offer help that is both broad and qualified.
We are always available for a conversation and a discussion of your exact needs. We have no standard solutions, as we know that every person is unique.
